print a cd jewel case insert or CD label

To print a CD jewel case insert

Commercial discs are often packaged inside a plastic case with custom printed front and back cover inserts describing the CD contents. A memories disc contains CD jewel case inserts that make it easy to find a specific memories disc in your growing collection. You can purchase empty CD jewel cases at any office supply store.

  1. Insert the memories disc in the CD drive.

On most Windows PCs, the home page for the memories disc opens automatically after a few seconds. If the home page does not open automatically, find and open the file HOMEPAGE.HTM in the root directory of the memories disc.

  2. From the Home page menu, select Print CD Case Insert and Label.

The Adobe Acrobat Reader print window opens and displays a PDF file with pages for the CD jewel case insert and label.

  3. Click the Print button, or from the File menu, click Print.

  4. Under Print Range, select page 1 to print the CD jewel case insert.

  5. Important. Make sure to deselect the option to shrink the printed page to fit the paper size or the insert will be too small for the case.

  6. Specify the printer, paper type, or other options, then click OK.

  7. Cut the CD case insert along the dashed lines, fold, and fit inside the CD case.

To print a CD label

Commercial discs are usually stamped with a custom CD label. From a memories disc, you can print a CD label, preformatted to fit your CD label paper. You can purchase special CD label paper at any office supply store.

  1. Load the printer with self-adhesive CD label media.

  2. Insert the memories disc in the CD drive.

On most Windows PCs, the home page for the memories disc opens automatically after a few seconds. If the home page does not open automatically, find and open the file HOMEPAGE.HTM in the root directory of the memories disc.

  3. From the home page menu, select Print CD Case Insert and Label.

The Adobe Acrobat Reader print window opens and displays a PDF file with pages for the CD jewel case insert and label.

  4. Click the Print button, or from the File menu, click Print.

  5. Under Print Range, select Pages from, then type the page you want to print. See the page choices below:

Most self-adhesive paper has two labels per page. You have the option of printing a label at the top of the page only, the bottom of the page only, or both labels. The following list describes the page to print for the option you choose:

    • To print the top CD label only, type 1 to 1.

    • To print the bottom CD label only, type 2 to 2.

    • To print both CD labels, type 4 to 4.
